i may have acquired some early American Racing magnesium porsche wheels. they are 15x6. they weight 13 lbs.....

anyone do weldups on magnesium wheels? ala re barrel them to 7 and 8's?

i hear mag is a PITA to weld, and i guess im SOL trying to find mag barrels.

I had 9" widened Fuchs and found out later they weren't round and had cracked at the seam (I was a naive buyer). The wheel rebuilders wouldn't touch them, too much liability.

I doubt you will find anyone who widens Magnesium wheels.
I have repaired cracks in mag wheels before and it is very difficult to achieve success just with small crack repairs.
