I on the other hand vote for an intermediate speed course with some nice, narrow (within parameters) technical sections.

Trekkor - Alameda is never an all 2nd gear course. But you are free to run it all in 2nd!

To be realistic - there's very little hope of me being there. I need to finish - uh - start my wiring harness... I have it out of the car to make it waterproof...

The Marina always clears up.

I've been down there when it was pouring down at 7:00AM, but it cleared up and dried out.

I just finished prepping Fritz for the AX....switched the shoes to the R250's and made sure things were tight after Buttonwillow last weekend....

Next Weekend we've got the Thunderhill Time Trial....the gas bill is going to be kinda high this month from towing to Bakersfield and then Willows from the bay area, and burning 50 gallons of 100 octane race fuel....

Such a cheap sport...

Bill, I don't envy your gas bill$$$$$.....flat towing the 914 last week I got about 16.5 MPG on the Burb....not too bad.

So who will be at Marina? I'm really looking forward to seeing how my new car does against Trekkor and Nathans car too. I was usually a second or two off both of your times in the 1.8. I hope the new car doesnt make me slower in AX.

I can't make Marina due to other projects....

Grant, I think once you get comfortable with the power, there is no way in hell that you'll be slower in a 2.4 six than a 1.8 four. It's just getting used to delivering the power and using all of the availbable course area that you didn't need with a four.

Do you have a short gear ratio box? If not, that's the next thing that will pay big dividends on time.

Great news.... Someone broke into my surburban early this AM and stole my stereo and destroyed my dash....the also seemed to have tried to hotwire the car as they pulled all of the ignition out of the car...

oh btw, my race trailer and car were hooked to my burby!....

Police just left after taking my statement...damage is bad enough that the car is not driveable....

Now to call the towing service....

No AX for me today....

I hear Nathan was 2nd overall today. How did everyone else do?
