I know the 75-76 rear fenders had a tab that stuck out to catch the rubber cover on those big late style bumpers. But if I cut those off, will the contour fit the early style bumper? If not, does anyone have a set of really straight rear fenders?

Need to replace rear fenders, can get a nice set from a 1975 car. I know the 75-76 rear fenders had a tab that stuck out to catch the rubber cover on those big late style bumpers. never heard of any major body changes except for the bumpers which you already mentioned....happy welding 
if your really picky the fender flange width inside as it passes the tire is wider on the 70-71 and then factory narrowed later. from like 3/4 inch to 1/2inch .
