I noticed for the first time today that I could not shut the ignition off. I turned it to the off position, but the engine kept running. I tried several times, when finally I noticed that my signal lights were on. I shut them off and the ignition operated normally..... WTF.gif Any ideas?

One of your turn signals or side markers has a single-filament bulb instead of a dual-filament bulb in it. That's what my car did when I replaced a bulb with the wrong thing; the power from the side marker fed back through the turn signal switch to the ignition switch, and powered the ignition which kept the FI on.

check your grounds...ALL of the engine grounds. Or something like that

The side markers would have single filament bulbs. That's a good one. First check your grounds, like the Gentleman said. Second I would check the wires that run up the steering column, this is a problem area for friction wear between wire's
causing a short between the two switch's. If you have a V/O meter or continuity
checker, you can sniff it out quite easily. smoke.gif
