Hello club members
ok here is my boo boo. to see if i could make my 73 belt retract faster i popped off the cover while trying to keep the spring in place and bam out she sprung.
If i can get it back in there how do i add more sprong to it or am i just wasting my time?
is there a replacement spring available?
give me your thoughts please may tackle this again tonight.

I read a post about this once and I seem to remember one of our senior members saying to pull the belt out all the way and spray it with Pledge or furniture polish (at least I think it was something like that). The wax lubricates the belt and allows everything to slide easier. It will make your belts smell nice anyway.
