Sunday night my nephew was at TCU for something involving his drama class. He went to get something and when he did not return his friends went looking for him. They found him unconsous and called 911. The fire dept got there and couldnt get him to come to so they decided to transport him to the Hospital. He had a blunt force head injury. When they were loading him into the Ambulance to transport he went into a convulsion and it took 6 of the firemen to hold him. They got him sedated and strapped in and to the ER and them into ICU. We went over first thing monday and they were keeping him in a medically induced coma. Last eve his temp went up to over 104 and the kids at TCU started a prayer vidual around the clock. We just got word they have brought him out of the coma and his temp is normal. He doesnt remember what happened or anything from that night. He has a broken right hand and is sore. The DR said if he progresses that he may go to a regular room tomorow then home this weekend.

Glad to hear that he is improving.

Any ideas as to what happened?

Prayers sent for his continued recovery.

Nope no idea at all. All we know is he went out to get something and didnt come back, then they found him. They dont think he was mugged because he still had his wallet confused24.gif

Wow, freaky. Best wishes for a speedy, and thorough recovery.

Kinda doesn't seem like an assault. I guess it might have more if it weren't for the fever thing. Maybe some kindof infection that caused sudden unconcoiusnees, followed by a fall to the ground, and thud? The concussion might then have contributed to the neurological stuff.

Weird. Here's to a rapid and healthly recovery!! beer.gif
