Has anyone used the Eastwood spot welder that attaches to a DC arc welder?
I have seen them advertised and I get the Eastwood catalog with them in it.
If so and you have pics pleace post. THNX

I think you would be limited in the areas you could use it.

With the wire feed, you can build all kinds of cool things. Not just car repairs.

Get a gas kit. Skip the flux core unit.

That was kinda the same response as my local welding supply house. They were also kind enough to point out that most suppliers won't fill a tank bought somewhere else.
i.e. a competitors tank. They were pretty cool about getting me info on some nice home-shop 220v models that won't break the bank.

Why not get one that can do both...

For the home hobbist I really think it is unnessesary to go 220V.

I have a 110 Lincoln Electric with the gas kit that works super. Whole thing was about $250.00.

I like it for the fact that if I am doing finish work I can use the mig and get nice smooth welds. But when I did my floor pans I switched back to the flux core wire. It was alot of welding and mig gas can be pretty spendy, didn't need the nice finshed look as I was just going to cover it with seam sealer so no reason to spend the money.

Flexibility... just my .02.
