Will the SS h/e's off my 1.7 work on my 2.0? I'm assuming too that i can transfer the exhaust with the h/e's - but is the exhaust mount different? which leads to, if the 2.0 has a tailshifter on it now, it isn't a big deal to swap it with my sideshifter is it?

Yes the 1.7 HE's will fit. You will need to use your exhaust and hanger also.

Oh and yes you can convert to side shift Trans.

You need the muffler, the muffler hanger, the muffler gaskets, and the heat exchangers to all be of the same kind. (1.7, in your case.) Everything else just swaps over, you can mix-and-match the other parts (the heater parts) just fine.

Unless the 2.0 in question is a 75 or a 76, in which case you need to use the 1.7's heater parts and air ducting parts as well.
