Sep 23 2003, 07:31 PM
What about ITSA 914 Looks like it's available, with a half space.

All I could find in Florida was to renew plates and/or change address. No plate availablility checker.

If you're going to get a personalized plate I'd suggest getting something that is obscure and means something to you or is extrememly clever and tough to figure out.
What's the point of putting a plate like "74 914" on a 914? Isn't it obvious? And does anyone else really care that it's a '74? I always liked Chris' plate "RAVENNA" - only a true 914 addict would get it.

That one extra character makes a BIG difference in what you can put on your plate. Humph!

I used to have the plate "914" in Washington State. I gave it to the new owner of my first 914 when I sold the car. It might be available.
My car currently has "MY9146" in Iowa, and the LE has the plate "BUMBL B"
Actually - the LE has 74BMBLB. Lawrence's /6 goes faster than my Bee and he can't see the plate clearly from his rear view mirror....

Yep, had that on my 73. It had "Porsche lense" between the tail lights. I got tired of people asking]
me what type of "Porche" is that thing. Now that
a have a 70 with a 914 emblem my new plate
is going to say "MYGOKRT" (my go cart)
Feel free to use ITSA914, I think Joan said she might
use that for he new ride there in Maine.
Aaaaaaah, I can see it now, old ITSA914 plates from
every state hanging on my garage wall surounding
a picture of my old 73. Sweet, my wife will know I am
nuts for sure then.............

I almost went with: U4IC914 as well.
