just when you get started

Rain drops slow the day
Cars weave and stop dodging drops.
Meticulous drive

Do the brake lights work?
Two women in the crosswalk
I brake, do cars know?

cruises in a green Jaguar
ears flying at speed.

smell rain, really earth
rising up to meet commuters
wet spots on your car

Canary truck threads
through traffic sliding by quiet
