Oil temp dipstick Is it any good? I'm tired of guessing what the temp gauge in the console is telling me and I'd rather have a CHT gauge there anyway.

yeah, I have one on my 912E, it tells you EXACTLY what temp the oil is.... and then you can know what temp the dash guage means works good

yes. it's a mechanical gauge but obviously, the disadvantage is not knowing the temp from the drivers seat. you could get a VDO gauge and oil drain plug sender for not much more.
