I was moving on with my ’74 2.0 build, by installing pistons and cylinders when I found some parts I am not sure about. I have 2 sets of metal rings one is thin and shiny, the other thicker with a matt finish and a small blue mark. confused24.gif I am guessing that one of the rings goes between the cylinder and case, and the other between the cylinder and head. Also my books say there should be an arrow on the pistons and that should point to the flywheel. But I have no arrow! Just a spot machined out for the valves. I am guessing that goes down… but I am not sure. Help!

Thanks

Sorry, sorry, I figured it out. Shiny ones go on the case side. They don't seem to fit on the heads.
