Sorry if you have seen this already, but I had not.

Since the real name of the driver was never released... It was me. Yeah I know the film was made before I was born, but never mind that. It was me. Just another German through the heart of Paris as he pleases.

There are a lot of stories about this video. F1 driver did it, streets were closed or not, engine sounds don't match the car, yadda yadda yadda....

The true story is ... The movie is from Claude Lelouch.

Its from 1976.

Claude Lelouch filmed and drove the car himself.

Camera was monted on his own Mercedes 450 ( Sound is fake )

He was not drivint that fast ... Wide angle lens always increeses speed perception.

Roads where opened. It was on a sunday morning . Very early in August.

Idea came when he had a full 10 mn 35mm film roll available from a previous movie.
