First thing I have to fix, the speedo isnt working, I was told by the PO that it was just a bad cable, so my question is where does the cable connect to? and how much are replacements?

Cable runs from speedo, thru tunnel, under motor. and attaches to rear of the tranni. About 35 bucks.
Speedo's do go out, but more than likely its the cable or the drive gear. Inspect the cable for visible damage. Remove it from the drive gear and see if it spins by hand, or pulls out of its housing. If it does, it's broke internally.
