I have a '73 914 that the turn signal will not cancel. Just recently I purchased a '74 parts car with a/c (no motor or trans) but it does have a few things I could use. One of these is a functioning turn signal. My question (before I tear into my '73) is will this interchange? Or is there a difference? Can I use the inner parts from the doner ? as my signal stock is in much better shape. Also can the light switches be exchanged? I am not sure if the rheostat is any better, but if they can be swapped then I will unplug and try. Thanks in advance.

You can swap the turn signal switches, but I would not try to swap the signal stock. Lots of springs and little pieces all over the place. I think the light switches are the same as well. Check to make sure tey have the same number of spades on them. If the number matches then all is good for a swap.
