This weekend,i added some C/F dash inserts.

I bought raw carbon sheeting from a place called DragonPlate.

I bought 3 pcs. 5"X18" long,with an adhesive backing.

It took about 5 hours to cut, trim, file & fit it all. Then it was just peel and stick.

Around the glove box,I used a heat gun to form it around the edges.

It cuts good with a good pair of scissors.

Total cost was about $120.00 complete.

I like the vent control delete. It looks more balanced.

What the heck is that by the dead pedal? Looks like a duct.

Also what kinda foot board is that? That is kinda cool! Little 914 logo.

I took em out cause the car doesn't have any heating anyway. After I finished,I agree that it does look more balanced.

That is the cover for the oil cooler lines. The foot board,is a self designed item I
made to fit this car, cause of the oil lines and the hydraulic clutch. It's laser cut from 1/16" Titanium.

Looks great!
My local TAP Plastics has another option, but the Dragon Plate looks soooo nice on their web site. Did you use the laminate or the pre-preg sheets? beerchug.gif

Actually,

I don't have a clue.I bought the stuff off the website as aglossy veneer.

It definately does not bend like the pohto off the page I bought it from.

I'm not sure, that I like it as glossy as it is.It's like looking in the mirror, but, whats done is done.

Andy,

The company included a business card in the box.

I put it in my wallet for safekeeping.

See,when the accident happens,I'll already have their phone# for the lawyer happy11.gif happy11.gif .

I tried doing the same thing to my dash, of course I never finished the job!
(something about NOT being mechanically-inclined)

I bought CF tape from a Motorcycle mail-order company, but it's been YEARS, and I don't remember their name.

Here is something similar.
