Taking a Poll, what would be considered the most desirable color for the 73 2.0 teeners? I hade a debate with a friend of mine and well I would like to get a answer from across the board. We are talking Factory 73 colors as the choices, not custom colors.
Tell me Your favorite.... I have not seen a lot of the choices in person, so It would be nice to hear your opinions

Car in foreground is Almaden Valley Dan's with L32K paint. Mine is the original L20E Signal Orange shined up after eight straight hours of hand polishing.

My 72 is saturn, chrome yellow in 73 but I am painting my 74 tub delphi green.

These cars look great in just about all the colors! (well, maybe that sepia brown . . .)

The bright, period colors are great (signal orange, yellow, the greens).

But the single best on a stock 73 2.0?

Zambezi Green.

Was Palma Green Metallic a "74 color? That's my fave...

Hey SoCal- do you have a source for wonderfully attention grabbin' Delphi green like my 73 original in L99A?? I would really like to buy a bit for touch-up if you can find some!

Everyone knows the L20E is the way to go! Its better than the guranteed not to sell brown.

Another vote for Signal orange

Saturn yellow and Signal orange are great colors, but Ravenna Green looks great on a 914 and gets my top vote.

I owned a '73 2.0 in Ravenna and that car got attention everywhere I drove it. I was a silver only guy when I purchased that car and it took a while for the color to grow on me, but it is a great color.

ok nice rides guys but you all know that bahia red is the only one for the 73-L30E is the code you are looking for.
google porsche colors and you should see the colors throught the years and paint codes great site.

Bahia red is the best! makes it look fast! although can't say no to silver, black, orange, etc.

The greens are my favorite by far. Delphi and Ravenna in particular.

Me in mine:

I always liked orange 914's, just seemed like the color they should be, until I bought one, did not realize that the color I was thinking of was Phoenix Red(L32K) signal orange and tangerine are good too

Only somebody with a purple car could spell this!
