Hello.
I was wondering if anyone has some instructions for removing
a dashboard. I imagine it would be the same for any 914,
but mine is a 1970 model. I also need to remove the dash
for a '73, which is my donor car. I've searched the
internet for some instructions or even a picture that shows
me where the bolts are, but I haven't been able to find
anything.
If you've done it and can give me some pointers and/or
pictures, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
HeavyHeavy

Look in the Classic threads section, there's much detail, with photos.

Yea, a piece of cake to do, too....
A good weekend project, but ultimately worth it.

When you get all the nuts off make sure you double check them ALL before you go any further. There is that one hidden nut that got me
and I cracked a good dash.

Thanks again.
I'm really impressed at how much this club helps. I think
I'll stick around a while.

Hey Rob.
That was a great How-To article. It helped a lot. I
thought you might like to know that I removed my dash last
night and your tips probably prevented me from breaking
something. I'll use it again this weekend when I remove the
dash from the donor vehicle.
Have you (or anyone else) had to replace the vinyl that is
glued to the dash between the dash top and the windshield?
I'll be replacing that too, so if anyone has hints about it,
I would appreciate those too.
Thanks
