Well, there is a perfect example of truth in advertising at least. He makes no bones about it being a ratrod.
I wouldn't want one, but it sounds like a fun ride.

I'm so sick of these sugar coated ads that make cars out to be perfect, only for some unsuspecting buyer to find out they are not as advertised.
Someone should ask for a full PPI by a respected Porsche shop in the area
jhadler
Jun 8 2006, 03:14 PM
Steve, I don't see any sugar coating at all in that post. He says stright up that it's a rat car. It has rust, it has no legal windshield etc... What's the problem? The guy seems to be pretty up front about it.
At the stage of modifications, it really doesn't matter if it really started its life as a 356 or a Karman Ghia, its ratrod fiberglass toy, and he says so.
It's a fugly POS, but he admits that too...

$12K is a bit much, but hey, at a lower price it would make a nic eparts car. The motor could find a nice home in a 914. And the seats appear to be leather Recaros so you could definitely sell them.

this guy is great! answered my question fast!
" Q: will i be able to score some trophy girls with this? you know, a full set of teeth?
Jun-08-06
A: Dentures are considered a full set of teeth by the American Dental Association."
Duffster
Jun 8 2006, 04:56 PM
yeah... but it'll take 32 of the trophy girls that you could get with that thing to make a full set of teeth. Actually the motor used to be in my 914

Next series of questions:
Does the car come with a lifetime membership to the SB PCA? Can you delineate the number of wins vs losses in AutoX? Is a wiener included in the sale? Does it have a COC (Certificate of Chop)? Is the remainder of the truckload of bondo included with the car?
Closer look at that plate.....

the biggest indicator....they didn't make an early cabriolet...let alone an RS Cab....
Funniest part of all....the 356 list hasn't said a word. Usually they are all over a POS 356 posting on eBay. Worse than this place.....they are like a buncha old hens....
