Just driving down the street and the brass speedo drive gear in the back of the tranny poked its head out to say hello wacko.gif

I've heard of this happening before, I'm just wondering if it's a sign of more problems or if I just have to replace that piece of the tranny case & speedo gear. Does anybody have any thoughts/past experience with this? Or tranny pieces?

I need to change the synchro for 2nd anyways but I'd rather not dig any deeper in the tranny than I have to at this point...

I think this happened to someone else not to long ago maybe a month. Bad time

to be a speedo drive. Being that the drive is brass you should be able to just

replace the parts. But I would check the mate and drive for damage.
