Just got off the phone with a K&N representative... after 45 MINUTES of trying to search for the correct part.

Yes, they do make filter assemblies for Solex 40PII-4 carbs.

The part # is 56-1255

K&N wants 80 DOLLARS A PIECE for those damn things.

I checked eBay..... nothing.

Any suggestions on better places to look?

they arent cheap... and arent that much better than the gauze ones you get at the bug shops for webers/dells

call around for a local auto parts store that carries k&n products and price them out. the quote you got is prob "manufacturers suggested retail value". yes they do seem spendy. so you pay what for a set of tossaways aaron? 2 x changes yearly x # of years...

they are just like K and N... just not pink. metal and gauze.... oil and re use...
