did anybody buy side stripes from that guy on eBay yet?
eBay auction 8074267494any experiences with their quality?
my favourites would be the silver one (not white) on the rocker panel,
like on the orange car, or black above the rocker panel, like on the tangerine car
what would you think

It might be the angle of the photo, but (to me) with the stripe on the body it makes the car look taller...........

I like the stripes on the body not the rockers. On the rockers looks goofy!

The only stripes that I've ever seen that I like are on Trekkor's car...

Are those the same as the ones AA sells ?
I bought a set of white and set of black from them in 2002

These were available, I think, as dealer option, and were on the bottom of the doors not rockers.

I was thinking that the dealer installed stripes were 'negative' stripes, more of a block format...

They used the "positive" stripes up to 1973.
The "negative" stripes were from 1974 onward.

I kind of like the stripes on the rockers, it does the same as painting them the
same as the body it makes the bottem look lower.

Had both styles on my car (not at the same time, but could be interesting). Preferred the negative stripes, placed above the "side valences", but in the end I took them off because it gave the car too much of a "period" look to suit me. Felt like I needed to re-grow a beard & let my hair go long again.
To each his own.
There are sources for these things that are more trustworthy than this unknown on ebay, though.

Gustl,
I can make them for you (I recently bought a vinyl plotter with a friend)
I'll need to check my archives for the correct dimensions
But otherwise, it won't be a problem
Personally, I like the black (positive) ones above the rockerpanel best

good to know that there's a source in Europe
I don't "need" them now, because I won't install them on my current teener,
but I was thinking of a future /6

I'm still not sure what I'd prefere - but I think it depends on the colour of the car ... darker colour = black on body ... lighter colour = silver on rocker panel
just an idea now ... we will see ...
