the stainless ones -are- nice. and while i lived in the desert i'm not sure i'd have felt the stainless was a big deal. now that i'm living in the swamp, my opinions are changing :-) ...
but can the red thing -really- be *ten times* nicer !? i dinno - i'm a big Costco shopper but i am having a BIG problem seeing the value in this thing ... i know Griot's has some FACOM stuff that's in this price range so maybe Costco believes the high-water mark on cost has already been set ...
i have almost (but not quite) outgrown the Sears rolling cabinet i bought on sale for a couple-hundred bucks 20 years ago, so i'm on the lookout for something that can complement that with some of the more specialised tools i'm getting into now. i don't think this will be it...
oh - i just moved that tool cabinet 3000 mi by using some ratchet tiedowns to fasten it to the side rail of a big UHaul truck. and while it was heavy enough that it took two of us really working at it to get it up the ramp (sucker's HEAVY fully loaded) it survived a very bumpy move just fine - something few of the wood chests, bureaus, and cabinets did - and they were empty...
