i got the front suspension from a 914 GT/6 conversion and i'm thinking these tortion bars are upgraded because they are so dang stiff....

can they be simple popped out and measured?
how? what's stock in a 911?

stock in a 911 was 19mm....

pull front valence off
pop off rear ride heait adjuster
piece of wood and a hammer.. and beat it out the front (it should push the dust cap out no prob)

push it out enough to get a set of calipers on it to measure..... and report back smile.gif

dan, sure enough....

they look like sway away power barz... 23mm. =-)

PP is asking $230 a set. =-)

i think i need to downgrade to some 19's or 21's.

thanks again!! =-)

i have 22mm sway aways... and yep, they be white...

23mm bars mean huge springs in da back....

21's are nice.

My vote is for 21s for a car that will see track/AX duty. Balanced with at least 180# rear springs. If you go bigger than that in the front you need 225# rears or more.
If you don't upgrade the rear springs the car will push alot.

Otherwise 19s are a good compromise between ride and handling. IMHO smile.gif

Bigger springs and roller bearings. laugh.gif

i appreciate all of your opinions.

is there anyone who wants to step up their torsion bars from 911 21mm to 23mm?

let's swap! =-)
