I'm at the beginning stages of a project that I'd like to do in Carbon Fibre and have a few questions. I thought some folks here may know the answers.
- Can CF be built up and made into a "billet" ...say 10"x10"x3"?
- If so, can it be CNC milled?
- If it can be CNC milled, can it be done to make small, fine shapes...smaller than a pen or pencil?

You can buy graphite in 3" dia rod. Or you can buy 1/4" rod and it is machineable with carbide tools.
I'm sure you can order cabon fiber in any shape or form, but it will cost you.

i designed tubes for x ray machines, that where made of regular fiber glass.(dcpd)
when they finished them out on the floor ,they milled them on a lathe.and they had to be highly accurate in shape.most carbon fiber work is done with epoxys. they are harder than what we was milling. so off the top of my head with out looking at what your doing i would think you could, mill smaller shapes
