Got the glove box door and lock aligned/working. Now I need to install the box itself but there's nothing to hold it. The books say there is a strap that needs to be undone. I'm figuring the generic stereo grounding/mounting strap I have will work but I don't know where to mount it -- the PET5 shows one strap but not the mounting points.
Help. Anyone have pictures or a exploded drawing of it?
Full Version: Glove box install.
It mounts to the two studs that are part of the dash. You will reallt have to hang upside down to see these studs. I think it uses a 8mm nut.

on my car ('70) one side of the strap had a "hook", the other was tightened down with a bolt/nut ...

Ah, okay, I see two holes in the dash below the glove box door. And two holes in the forward bulkhead in the glove box indentation
