Found this on ebay.
Guy does not specifically say it will work for a 914 but it is on the header.
What do we think

Best to buy the sender and gauge as a set....."I" always use GPR and ask for Dave....if I have a later numbered gauge he hooks me up.

Without the guage calibrated for the sender it isn't much use. Besides, the reach of the sender is not great, and I'd suspect that it would tend to measure the temperature of the case where it is attached. As a physicist that has to make lots of temperature measurements daily I can assure you that most senders don't actually measure what you think they are measuring. Generally they blend the environment. In this case the sender is in better contact with the engine case rather than the oil. The engine case is being used to cool the oil, so the engine case temperature will be well below the actual temperature of the oil.

that is for a VDO cockpit gauge IIRC
