So, for the Fourth of July, I got my case together. Car is in the blue garage at work waiting for the engine. Hoping to get the damn thing together and shaken out before the Glen DE in August.
2.7 case, crank and rods. Waiting for the 9.7:1 Mahle P&C's and the "S" cams to show up at the door. Still need a fuel cell and an oil tank (in case anyone has one lying around, let me know)

Yeah, ME-262. Few people recognize it. Possibly the original German super hot rod.
Further immortalized by the Blue Oyster Cult in song. One of my Dad's war buddies was a B-17 gunner, and said the crew couldn't even imagine anything could be so fast.
Speaking of fast, I'm hoping I can keep up with the late model 996 and 997's at the track with the teener.
