Just wanting to know if the forward coupler set screw is suppose to fit flush? Also any tips on the shifter reinstall? Meaning anything special I need to know?
I have a Stock 73 914.
Thanks

IIRC... Mine does not sit flush.

I assume you have the correct cone screw.

Nothing really special that you need to know.

Couple things you might want to do while your in there though.

1) replace firewall bushing.

2) use new cone screws when installing. There has been some discussion here about thier limited use design.

Oh and BTW. If you get a hard shift lever after all is hooked up there is a procedure to adjust the shifter. I think I found it on Pelicans web site.

And when you put the coupler back on the rear rod, make sure you have the set screw facing down.
