Well, after last weeks run at Blackhawk farms, i put the 914 into it's natural habitat (read - jackstands) and took off the race rubber. Checked the brake pads, and put on the street tires. Went over to check the race rubber, and chords were showing through. chairfall.gif
I can't beleive how well these Victoracer V700's lasted. 2.0-4 banger, running 205/15/50's, running 1:32's at Blackhawk. Lasted for 12 track days, average of 4 run groups per day. They were still sticking like road glue when i came of the track last week.
That set was shaved (supposed to help avoid chunking), but since they never get that hot in my little car, i have another set to hang this week that are not shaved.
Hope they do as well.

I would say you got your money's worth.
I agree with not shaving. Our underpowered light cars don't abuse tires like other cars do.
