I have a 1975 914 1.8

Recent parts: hotstart kit. Alternator, battery and cables.
Car ran perfect, while moving through traffic, the engine stopped as if the switch had been turned off. NO warnings. No sputtering. Car cranks, will not start. Temp was normal. All electrical items work. Fuel pump runs at turn of switch. Any suggestions? My thoughts..maybe FI relay? ground strap?

Where in VA are you? Check the basics first. Do you have spark? Do you have fuel getting to the cylinders? Then go from there.

Check for a good spark. Did the tach instantly drop to zero when the engine died? If so, it's the ignition system.
