Looks nice Joseph!

Thanks Sean, and others!

Well.....as you pointed out Sean, it would look a lot better if James had parked his car correctly laugh.gif

Plus Andy's not waving. LOL. Probably wore his arm out!

Everyone went thru hell getting their car in the right spot and it was also confusing because the walkie-talkies were too garbled to communicate clearly with. Ron, the guy on the dam that was directing people said it was like trying to herd kittens!

As you have probably already noticed, we did a little editing in PS.

I will have a higher res version later to share. ANYONE on this board is MOST welcome to it for personal use (just not commercial usage).

Thanks to everyone that helped with their cars and patience.

WOW! ARE YOU NUTS! LOOK HOW CLOSE THEY ARE TO WATER!

The picture is really fantastic.

Great shot Joseph. I can see myself.LOL Thanks for the hard work.

Incredible photo Joseph. Thanks.
Is everybody so preoccupied looking at the cars
that you all missed the Loch Ness Monster in the shot?
JWest
I swear it was NOT MY FAULT!! I stopped where Ron told me to. Then they started sorting colors. Sean pulled BACK to my car and the outside cars pulled in. I was set up -- FRAMED I tell you! unsure.gif headbang.gif
TheCabinetmaker
James, looks like we all were "framed".
BTW, I've got one of your wifes(?) shots on Talimena drive as my new desktop.

Nice photo!

Anyone notice that red is the most popular color? And fastest, too!

I counted: 8 red, 7 yellow, 3 orange, 2 blue, 2 silver, 2 black, 2 white, 1 green, and 1 aubergine (color?, fourth car from the right, top line).

Mike
seanery
there were a couple cars that didn't make the foto.

1 yellow car (craig)
1 silver car (lyressa & brad)

I, too was surprised at all the red cars, I just never thought of 914's as red cars, but there were lots!

I think that car (fourth from right on top behind Charlie's green car) is Richard Fischer's maroon car. The car two more back from that was brown with gold metallic.

Oh, and 3 blue and 1 black (the car in the lead was Ron Mott's 3.6 dark blue car).
maf914
Looks like I missed a few colors! rolleyes.gif

I called the navy black.

Metallic brown? That sounds like a 70's color. You still see a few brown 70's 911's around. I mistakenly called it red from the photo.

Mike
seanery
It's an interesting rust metallic color. Really rich.
Bleyseng
Can anyone name everyone and point to their cars?
JWest
I could have remembered a lot more a week ago - I'm forgetting the names now. sad.gif
Bleyseng
Thats why I asked, before you guys forgot who was there. Pretty soon it will be a tall tale "I was there and there is my car"
Joseph Mills
The yellow car at the end of the line is mine but that's not me waving. Tom Ewing drove my car while I took the picture. His only 914 driving experience was driving his 914 about 25' in his driveway before it went up on jack stands. I'm crazy.

Brad, here is Lyressa's car. Maybe I can photoshop it in..... idea.gif
JWest
I don't feel like picture editing right now, so here's what I remember:

Starting from right:
Dark Blue 3.6 - Ron Motts
Silver 3.2 - Gudmond
Yellow - not sure
Orange - From Texas - can't remember name
Yellow - not sure
Red - not sure
White - Nice original '71 /6 - Gary Perser has owned it since 1972!
Orange - DD driving the Blakewell's car
Yellow - Al Swanson
Red - Curt - confirmed
White - Sean/Andy
Silver - James/Ginger Adams
Yellow - Rich Johnson
Red - not sure - John Leto?

back to the right - second row:
Red - not sure
Yellow - not sure
Green - Charlie Davis
Maroon- V8 - Richard Fischer
Black - (actually a dark charcoal) - Gary ...
Brown - I know who it is but can't remember his name...
Yellow - not sure
Red - not sure
Light Blue - Charles Hill
Metallic Blue - 6 - John Swanson
Orange - Bryan - Curt's son-in-law
Red - Dennis/Linda
Orange - Nelson/Terri Johnson
Yellow - Thom Ewing driving Joseph's car

One of the red cars is Cris (-P-) but I can't tell at this resolution.
JWest
Thanks, edited.
Malmz
Screw the 914s, let's get my boat and barefoot suit out there... smile.gif
Pam
I think the nice white /6 is Gary Perser? Does that ring any bells for folks that were there??
seanery
that sounds right pam.

You're correct Pam, that is Perser.

I think the "reddish" car behind John Swanson's flared silver car is Bryan, Curt's son-in-law.

Someone up on the dam with a long lens took close-ups of most of the cars. Who was that?
TheCabinetmaker
orange car next to last on second row: Nelson & Terri Johnson
Dave_Darling
Light-blue car-- Charles Hill.
seanery
does anyone know where the autocross pics are?
