I am getting ready to finish up my 5 lug swap and have Ferodo front pads to load into my "M" calipers.

They fit fine but they have this little indentation.

I don't know if it's important or not as far as orientation.

Anybody run these pads?

Does it matter where the indentation is located, because they are all cut the same way.

Don't worry about that.

Those are for brake pad wear sensors. I feel fairly confident that you don't have the wiring to use them.

Thank God you are the only one that has to touch them.... av-943.gif

Oh Ma Gawd, you're going to lose 0.05% of the pad area.....you will crash 'cause ya won't be able to stop.....don't install them....package them and send them to me for destruction.

i hear slits disposal is uh.. over full...

you can drop them off at the nearest ACOX recylcer.
i will take caution to unload them for you.

Wear sensors on a calipers they stopped running in the mid-70's?

Never seen that on M-Caliper pads... lern sump'n new every day.

Probably some crossover application...

Yep wear sensors alright. I have 'em on my '88 325i. There's a special little plug that neatly fits that gap in the beemer. Pretty sure orientation doesnt matter in the beemer and im Sure it wont in the teener. Happy stopping!
