Just got a Mocal filter mount/head for one of my projects and the inlet has this rectangular port that directs the oil to the six inlet ports on the filter. Right now there are hard edges and right angles along the flow path and I'm wondering if it might be useful to contour those edges for smooth oil flow. Any opinions.

Here you can see the rectangular opening and the right angle edges. The C-shaped 'bevel' along the top and right sides is the 'flow path' of the oil.
