PCA GGR has a Time Trial this weekend at Thunderhill. I'm hearing that there will be a light turn out which means nice open track.
Who's going? I know Dan T. is out until he rebuilds his motor and Nathan / Randal are going to the hill climb. Any club members making it out?

Have a great time , Bill.
We may have as many as 10 clubbers down at Marina a/x.
I'd think we'll see you there in a month for Zone on Randal's course.

Hi Ken,
Yep....it seems like it's going to be a lightly attended event. Weather report says mid 90's on Sat. and low 90's on Sun.
I've got to prep the car tonight and then load it in the trailer.

Have a safe trip up to TB - I'm hoping it isn't crazy hot.

I'm in. Leaving tonight...LOL
Just kidding.
The Boxster is apart right now. We pirated the control arms off of it for another project. The new ones should arrive soon.
I will make a NorCal event this year.

Look for Trackmasters opening up registration for Laguna Seca September 16th and 17th weekend. We'll get to run the new surface....(although I've heard a few negatives about the new surface).

I like 'em. Just not the advanced open passing group.
NASA's high group run's the same way.
Racer practice...Not for me.

Unless I know the group of specific drivers I am running with....I don't like open passing. I like to know my fellow driver's habits, ability and knowledge before they go whizzing by me in some corner....
Giving a passing signal is not the end of the world.
someday I may try a PRC event when I get my new motor built.
Guess I am just getting old
I prefer groups that very closely monitor and attend to driving misbehavior on the track. GGR/CDS PRC and a few others.

How do you guys see Trackmaster's in relation to NCRC? I have run with Trackmaster's once in 2004. I've done several events with NCRC, CDS, and other car clubs. I would agree that Trackmaster's was a loose group during the drivers meeting I did attend in 2004, but there were no incidents on track.

I didnt have a single safety issue in very heavy traffic with Track Masters at Infineon. I think they do a good job of watching for dangerous drivers. Unfortunately GGR events are too much of a hassel for me.
Grant, give me some feed back on that comment...I am always interested in why folks don't come to our events....
Would be interested in your thoughts.
Thanks

I have run with TMR at least in 4 or 5 events - never experienced the slightest safety issues. I totally agree with Grant!

I agree. Probably not for the same reason but I do agree. I am making an exception this weekend because it is Trekkors course.

OK, you guys have your opinions, so lets hear what you feel is a hassle....
If you don't tell GGR folks what your points of view are, things will never change for the better for you.
By the way this weekends AX is an LPR event not GGR....but still PCA...is that the problem?
