Full Version: 1976 model - headliner or not?

My 1976 2.0 has an older top on it right now because some P.O. thought it would be fun to hack up the original top and put one of those silly glass sunroofs in it (!). The current top has what looks like glue residue on the inside.

My question is: Did the '76 2.0 models have a headliner glued in? If yes, is there a source for the original material (or close enough so it doesn't cause immediate shaking of heads from the originality buffs)?

agree.gif 70 no headliner in the 4 cyl..
71 and beyond..And yes 76 did have it..
but the glue would give up the ghost
due to heat..and they would detach themselves...
most after mkt people have perlon...
I know some are sold on ebay..
George still might have some at AA in his
'Lost Warehouse'!! thatz where I got mine years ago..
