Just put new carpeting in my 1975 and on the passenger side there is something like a box with what looks like an electrical component. It hasn't got any wiring hooked up to that I can see but I would like to know what it might be? confused24.gif

Thanks alot for the response.I was just curious and didn't see it in my manual.

it might be listed in the wiring diagram and a seat belt logic switch, or just a logic switch, i cant remember...its in there though...

The reason its not plugged in is cause it corroded under the seat so bad that it would not let you start the car.

Even the factory sent out a bulliten on how to disconnect it..

Just to be sure- is it under the passenger seat? Or near the base of the toe panel?

It's under the toe plate

Sound like the counter box for the catalytic converter warning light. The speedo cable went thru the box and would put a light on when emissions maintance was due.
