not boring...
VERY NICE

hey Trekkor,
you've got to consider trying some wheel to wheel action.
its the next plane of enlightenment.

The amount of exhileration that you would experience, is similar to the difference between street driving and track days!

maybe instead of a new motor, you ought to work towards wheel to wheel this winter?
Trekkor
W2W...

I'm gonna pass on that.

I'm having a good time where I'm at.

In the first pics in this thread the front inside wheel is coming up.

The Photographer, David Wong has seen most of my track progess.
He made the point to stop me in the paddock and comment that he has noticed me getting faster and faster.

If you watch the in-car coverage of the ALMS at Sears they show the speeds of the GT2 class Porsche cars as they exit turn 2... 54 mph.
I exit at 57 mph now!! mueba.gif

David has 914, too, BTW.

The thing is...
After you try W2W you will never have as much fun at a drivers school again.
(seriously, it will never be the same)
It is truely that good... you don't know what your missing.
like I said, as big a leap as the track was compaired to the street.

you'd like it!

you are faster than ALMS cars with pro drivers? ..... not thinking so...

factor in your "shorter than normal" tires... about 9% off with 205/50's
Allan
Less coasting.

More gas...

Exiting turn 2, yes!! Hard to believe, I know, but this calculation is not based on my unreliable speedo, but 5000 rpms in M ( 3rd ).

Trekkor
Yes and yes.

David's a nice guy.

KT
DanT
I have known smile.gif David for >16 years. He was my first AX instructor at the Zone school. The year I went to it, it was held at Crows Landing in the valley...
Old Navy auxillary airfield...
We used to hold AXs, AX schools, and Time Trials there...
Brad Roberts
Trekkor,

Tell David to call me about his engine. I can pick it up this weekend. I lost his contact info, but I know where he lives in SunnyVale.

Awsome three wheelin bro!! Tell me, did you have a role cage in your car?

beer.gif Makes my nipples hard.
Trekkor
I currently have a roll bar.
Cage is coming soon.

KT
fiid
You going to make the cage out of Fence Posts or EMT tubing from Home Depot??

poke.gif

(BTW - I only make this joke because I recently made a turbo downpipe with an O2 sensor bung and a bursch on the end out of a Home Depot Fencepost... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif laugh.gif )

It's like being baptized. Track days are never the same, you wonder why you didn't see it before. There's a bond with your fellow racers that doesn't exist doing DE or time trial. Someday you'll see.
