I'm hoping that someone can confirm for me that the first two pics here are sway bar mounts..

FRONT

But is this just some custom brace or has anyone seen one before?

I've been having fun playing with my new car. I picked up the car last Monday. I got the motor and trans out two nights ago and started cleaning up the engine bay and underneath.

I have a 1971 914...did they all come with 4 wheel disc brakes?

Thanks,

Brad Roberts
Those are sway bar mounting points (actually the drop links points)

All of them came with 4 wheel disc brakes.. and yes Mustangs up until 1995 or so had drum rears..LOL

as said
1) rear sway bar drop link pickup point. shock bolt nipple.
2) front U tab for swaybar droplink

3) DAPO add on.

lets comment on number 1...
you are missing some spacers/bushings etc or that bolt isnt even close to tight. the shock should have pieces centering it between the end and the control arm
McMark
Nah, Aaron, all KYBs are like that. tongue.gif You can see the white small diameter tube that centers the shock.
