Full Version: Hey buddy, need an "extension"? :)

Shown in the picture is the shift rod extension as requested by Felix for his V8 conversion...normally one must cut and weld to extend the linkage 1.5" to compensate for the transmission moved back that far (for 901 transmissions only)

I really don't know if this will work since I don't have a V8 car to use to check for clearances and interferance, hopefully the coupler won't hit his motor.

It's not perfect but it works as mocked up, I need to add a boss (or a nut or??) to give more thread engagement for the cone set screw nearest the firewall.

Forgot to tell you I need a roller bearing on it to tension the water pump belt...
