Full Version: "Right" spacers for 15x6 Fuchs and 205s...

Rears fill out the wells nicely, fronts sit too far in. Better than a /4, but still a bit wimpy. Plus, wouldn't mind getting rid of a bit of understeer.

Will press in longer studs. But how thick on the front spacers?

Half-inch? 10-mm? More? Less?

Thanks! beerchug.gif

7's fit fine under stock fenders, but have the same backspacing... thus, the extra inch of width is on the outside...

you are good to go for 1" spacers smile.gif

Back when I had 6" (okay that sounds pretty bad), I went to 1/4" spacers.
Definitely go more than that as there is still plenty of room.

Was going to go for half-inch spacers, but y'all (two) are talking me into one-inchers, as I want to push those mothers out there...

Questions:

Will 205/55s and 205/60s fit without rubbing on the outside?

Will I need to roll the fronts to match my rears?

I know, I know, all cars are different -- BUT I'd sure like some feedback from the masters out there...

Masters like AAR-on... biggrin.gif

Thanks!

20 MM as shown here, TUV approved as well.

pete, you did get me thinking.

my 205's are on a 7" rim, so they dont bulge...
205's on a 6" will bulge more, and probably limit the amount of spacer.

i say 3/4" spacer..... or 20mm or so....

my blog has pics of 7's upfront...

Many thanks for the pic.

Sounds like a 3/4-inch spacer — or a 20-mm spacer — is the way to go.

Now must find 'em. EASY is looking for some studs as we speak.

Thanks again!!! beerchug.gif

right on.

BTW - lemme know what you pay for studs, cuz i need some 56mm + ones on the rear....

Will do Aaron.

Turns out the 3/4-inch (or 20-mm/0.8-inch) spacers are super common off the rear of 944s, possibly the Turbos. So, a factory piece and not in high demand.

Nice!

Word is the studs are harder to come by, and I may need to buy them new. If so, then so be it. Stay tuned...

So here's the before, anyway.
