I have one and it needs to be refinished but didn't know if it's supposed to be there or not.

PO said it was a special edition or limited edition with rear window defroster, fog lights and different spoiler in a 1.7 motor.

Just a dealer added option group or?

Thanks
Stuie

Right on John. What year is your car? You have black door panels that I am familiar with from pop's '74. Mine has some really puffy beige ones. (Not sure if they are stock also).

Vegas was fun. Lived there in '94 while working at the MGM. Lived in The Oasis apts which were across from the Luxor. Heard some cars a few blocks away in a parking lot tearing it up and went to investigate and it was an SCCA parking lot rally. I ended up taking a camaro the next time they met and ran it.

Thats was a blast!

Thanks for the pic!

Thanks for the reply on the dash Andy!

The Dijon Bomb is a 71. That's me in the pic about to get my head tanned in the vegas heat on the drive back to colorado.

Here's another pic of Dijon's dash, looks real similar to yours in the way the holes were cut for the switchs ect.

My 70 has the wood dash face also. I am sure it is aftermarket. I also have a nice Dino wood steering wheel and soon hopefully an Amco aftermarket wood shift knob to complete the total aftermarket look biggrin.gif

Borrowing from Chris Craft, how about some Teak w/ Holly Inlays for your floorpanels to complete the look?

Or "Teak and (black) Rubber" to match the pinstripes on the steering wheel...

I never thought about wood flooring. What a great idea. Now I have to start searching for the wood dash inlay, wood rim steering wheel, and wood shift knob. laugh.gif

When I lived in Europe, I saw people use small oriental rugs for floor mats in their cars. That was interesting. And they would really dress up a hardwood floor! laugh.gif

I had a wood shift knob in my 61 Sunbeam Alpine. smile.gif
