Is a bad hookup on the headlight switch the most likely cause of constant power to the license plate lights? Headlights on, off, running lights off, on... no matter what, there's power to the license plate lights.

Checking the wiring on the headlight switch after work. Just wondering if this has happened elsewhere maybe.

wow, lotttsa replies to THIS one.

update: dropped the fuse panel down and pulled out the headlight switch. Yanked all of the wires off of it. Put them all back on by the book. Hey, now I have power to the license plate lights when I'm supposed to, I now have DASH lights.. and that one relay that was always warm is no longer getting constant power to it. NEAT! Oh yeah, my headlights also go up when they're supposed to and then go back down when they're supposed to.

Schematics... who woulda thunkit??
