aaron, make sure you blue tape your hood, or something. much more debris/gravel on dessert roads, than the 91 or 405

Also make sure the chains aren't going to rub the ground. Nothing like flying sparks to ruin paint.

I still have the (thick) plastic bags Jacob's new mattresses came in. That and some painters tape should do a good job (won't look pretty).

Second on the taping of the front of the car! Blue painters tape, sticks just enough but peels right off and no danger of pulling off paint or leaving a residue. Also tape off where the wires for the rear lights run.

Tape some cardboard to the windshield too.
I'd hate to break that thing.

Caddy, my ass. Front and rear swaybars, 180# springs, Koni's/Bilsteins, no heat exchangers.
But Rob, don't be too rough on the kids. They're just soft. Ron and I walked 10 miles to school in the snow, and it was uphill,
both ways.

You *really* want to make sure you cover your front end and WS. My new WS got a slew of chips on the way back from Portland. Primarily from half finished road construction in...
Utah.

AA, it may look a bit tacky, but consider a swatch of rubber set carpet or floor mat material attached to the back bumper of the truck. You've seen them on motor homes when they tow. Problem is high truck and low towed load. Scatters crap all over the car.
Masking is still good, but it won't stop the big'uns.
