Is there any tricks or info I should know before taking the spring loaded seat adjusting mechanism off the seat bracket ? Gonna powdercoat the parts and reassemble.

Nah it a snap and fairly obvious.
Yep, Pretty easy. I just did it today. Tap out the roll pin, seperate the halfs and take the spring off, and remove the two bushings in the brackets (one is white and the other is black). I am going to have my brackets blasted and powdercoated and have the adjuster arm and hardware re-plated. Good luck
