WOW! Thanks Trekor. Those are some great video's. I've always wanted to drive Laguna , especially the corkscrew. Must be just the most fun you can have in a car with your clothes on.

Its sort of like being blown away by a Vette at the end of this video. I thought my car was fairly fast until my first drag race. ...However he never seemed to be able to get away from me completely.

In the Sears videos, you can hear a clean accel all the way to redline.
In the Laguna vid, you can hear my carbs choking my motor between 6-7K. Killed my lap times. Lugging up the hills...
It's azaming to me that an increase of only 3 mph average, equals a 5 second lap time improvement

Trekkor, the videos are fantastic. I've been running Laguna since 1977 with GGR. Allow me to share a little tip an old racer gave me way back when. When you down shift for the Corkscrew and make the left turn, the car gets "light" as you are basically almost airborn, UPSHIFT while this is happening and when your car hits the bottom of the turn both hands are back on the wheel and you can be on the power as you are exiting the turn. Try it the next time you are at Laguna. It might be worth a 10th. or 2 off your lap time. It has worked for me in just about every Porsche that I've ever driven there.

thanks Ken. I should know that because turn 5 at TH ( CCW) is like a "mini-corkscrew" and I figured out that same tecnique there.
Next year...

Great job Trekkor! I'm seriously proud of you. I recall when you started all of this... Several of us wondered if you would ever "get it" It appears you are well beyond "get it" now!!

Thanks's Brad. You rode along with me at Streets at the WCC '04.
So, you have seen me from the start.
Also, *the guy* who guided me through the suspension build.
How many times have you seen me spin the car at the a/x?
Some of the credit must surely go to you. thanks again.

Yes, it was a V8 Lotus....I think he was on track for is first time ever....if he wasn't then I have no excuse for him other than he sucks as a track driver.
