First:

Liz's piston/cylinder combo.

Cylinder-90ZN2W5
Piston-90L61

These are Mahle parts. Are they Nikasil or Alusil? I tried a small magnet. No dice, so it appears to be Alusil. However, I need to be able to look up these numbers.

Second:

Where do you guys find this info? I'm definitely going to need the part # references some of you have. Hook me up with the books/programs.

Contact Zim's. They have a PET CD for $17.00 (or something like that) Covers a lot of models.

So will the PET decipher the Mahle part number?

Does is just give 911.xxx.xxx.xx numbers or does is cross reference with Mahle, Bosch, etc.
Eric_Shea
Probably won't but... you could call Dieter at Andial and he could spout off cross references in his head.

Here is a site that will get you PET catalogs for most models. I don't think there is a cross reference that you need for Bosch, Mahle and other manufactures. At least it gets you the Porsche number and is FREE.
