iirc, you block off the output of the pump, has a bypass on the cover, and from here it goes to a remote filter, and goes back in thru one of the galley plugs on the case..... bypassing the stock oil filter passages...

It was using a bypass that would allow oil to continue recirculating if pressure/flow became too much for the filter and stopped up the works.

Howard, you have it backward. What you described is how the stock oil system works. Full flow means all oil goes through the filter.

My first thought ( haven't thought or talked about it for years) was the same as McMark's statement. I'm getting old, and I used to know more stuff than I do now. Hell, I can barely type anymore.
