a couple more. this seems to be the place.
I am still at a loss for words.
Had to leave early though, and good track shots can only be had with a media pass. Will have to get me one of them someday.

John - It was great to see you. Good pics everybody.
Just cause I have to say it - I did make it past the abarth
Unfortunately I lost my oil cooler and slicked my tires shortly after, which makes for a hell of a a ride! The cheetah broke his half shaft...- well in half and came in on the tow truck. But we both got to drive on sunday, we both went home in one piece, and now we won't be bored during off season
if i can figure out how....and assuming my camera worked,.... i'll post the video of the lap i followed that abarth around

I think the Coronado Historics is one of the best races of the year, museum quality cars actually doing what they were built for. I mean getting to see a real 917 getting started, running, and raced, wow.
Porsches, Lolas, Arbrecks, these cars are priceless and their racing history is amazing.
The best part is getting to go into the pits and see them up close and talk with the owners.
Oh yeah, since it's on a Navy Air Base, the Navy puts on a small air show too, and yesterday they had a formation of WW2 planes flying, something for everyone.
They also have prefered parking, car club corrals for car clubs, we could even qualifiy.
This is the one I try not to miss every year.
Later, Don
