Sorry about the OT Just started 2 new race car projects for next season. We are building 2 Locost cars. Need to find 2 Yamaha R1 or Hayabusa engines. Hopefully in 2007 we will be racing with 914, bug and two locosts.

We just bought 66meter of 25*25 rhs tube. Henkka cut all the tubes to correct lenght.
OT continues Just painted the other locost. All carbon and gf parts are also ready, still waiting shocks, springs and steering rack from england.
We have 3 Yamaha R1 engines and all other mechanical parts so these should be ready in easter. As you can see, i painted it with my 914s left over paint. Other car will be yellow.

Are you building them to the "book" size and design??
I'm in the design stages of one as well once the Volvo is done, I like the +442 (cabin 4 inches longer and 4" wider and frame 2" taller for those that don't follow these builds )
I already have a complete Fiat 124 drivetrain lined up if I decide to go ahead and build one....I know it is more work, but if I do build one, I'll be going with 1.5" DOM tubing..currently it's almost $4 a foot and almost 100 feet is needed if I added up the bill of materials correctly

These frames are built to "book" size and design. We are using Lada rear axle, Volvo 240 drive shaft's, ford and volvo brakes. It's been really fun to built these cars.
Mueller, whats that thing in our avatar?

Mueller can tell you for sure, but it looks like the rear of an Ariel Atom.
Jim
Edit: actually I just went to the Ariel site, and it is not an Atom....Hmmm
The car looks cool and so do the girls, but I liked the VW van most of all.
Must be something wrong with the server where you have the pic's, the letters
in the words were all jumbled up...couldn't read a thing.

Wow . . . very nice
What did you end up choosing for engines? And do you have any pictures with the bodies off? That Locost looks great

My other project is also getting closer to be back on street. It's my 1991 Multivan which is getting WRX Sti engine. Engine is allready in but i still need to make rear crosbar mount and connect all the wires, shoud be finished next weekend.

More ot. Vanagon is now ready (waiting for brake update) It feels really nice, goes over 200km/h and 1/4mile in heavy wind 15.33s and 144km/h. Of course we allready tested it also in track but it was way too soft for that.
